    Won't detect my cdrom!

    Ok I've just gotten a new comp from a friend and all works great. Except that If I have my harddrive on IDE1 it's fine, but it won't detect my cdrom on IDE2. If i hook up the CDrom on IDE2 and change the jumpers it sometimes finds that, but then it won't detect the hard drive! what's up with this?
