    I set up a new WinXP user ( I was the only one) and the problem went away when I logged in as the new user. I am working with MS to repair the original problem. Seymour

    Just to be clearer. I can change the font using the FORMAT toolbar. I cannot change the font by right-clicking or by choosing the font in the drop-down list. That is when I get the error 501 message. I willkeep this topic informed as to progress or lack thereof.

    I have run into the same problem. However in my situation, the FORMAT toolbar in OE allows me to change fonts etc. I do not have a solution to the original problem which I now share.
