You just need the MAT software for whatever type of 2400 you have. Don't buy it, it's too expensive. See if some nice NEC tech will give you a copy.

The book says to shut 'er down but the theory, and some real world experience says you don't have to. The reality is that if you plug in a partially discharged battery into a live power supply you WILL get a spark and worse case burn the connector or knock down the system.
