Well, I recorded a name when it was first set up, so given that you're able to record it initially, one would think you'd be able to change it at some point down the road.
It's not a do-or-die situation and I doubt anyone ever actually hears the recorded name as they can't leave a message...
Well, I did think of that but this is a very lengthy informational message that took me umpteen tries to record and the thought of doing that again....
I'm sure it's in there somewhere, just a question of finding the right undocumented keystroke.
If I ever come up with it I'll post back here...
Hmmmm....
I logged in (Feat 981) to my info mailbox and the only 2 spoken or automated options I have are to listen, play or re-record the primary and alternate greetings. No admin or other options.
Under admin (Feat 983) I am only allowed to reset the password, change the service class, list...
Flash Talk 2.
Yikes, did they bury this one or what?!? I need to change the recorded name of an information mailbox and cannot find the prompt anywhere. I figure it's a hidden numeric entry but I can't find it in my system coordinator manuals and the procedure for changing the recorded name for...
Thanks,it's not so much the reprogramming I'm worried about, but rather keeping a snapshot of all the wonky settings we have. We have a doorphone, and people that get rings on certain lines and others that don't. In short, tweaking ad infinitum. I shudder at going through that again (from the...
I'm an end user and just recently installed a donated CICS 2 in our school. I went to dig up my copy of NRU from a couple years ago (for the CICS in our main office) so I can back up the settings from this new install, and can't find it. I was horrified to find that it's now $400+ to buy...
We recently split our office into 2 locations and cloned our original CICS 8x24 and Flash 2, to location #2. All calls come into location #2 and during the day, our human attendant can transfer (link) calls as needed to location #1. Location #1 is always in AA and either our human attendant or...
An update...
Had our power checked out with a high-tech oscilloscope and everything passed with flying colors.
Although we were finally able to get into the Flash and get it operational, things were never quite right. Initially it was fine, but then callers started to get routed to the wrong...
That was very useful info, westcoaster, thanks! I don't have a serial cable handy for my laptop but will root one out and have a go at it. Of course, that's the version we're running. :/
In the meantime... an update [with guarded good news] for the benefit of future searchers:
A friend of a...
Did a startup last night and reprogrammed everything from scratch and still NO access to Flash -- always get inactive feature.
Here are all the steps I've tried, in no particular order (can't remember at this point):
- Tried a 7310 at the jack where Flash is connected and it works fine, I can...
Well, the vendor promptly sent me a new Flash and guess what... still get 'inactive feature.' Too coincidental to be 2 bad Flashes in a row, especially since the first one worked fine for a good 10 days before dieing on its first power down.
Backing up just a bit... Both the KSU and Flash were...
Did you ever solve your problem, yozkan? I've got the exact same situation with my recently-installed Flash. I powered it down so I could put it on a UPS and it never could be found by the KSU again.
I tried all the steps noted above and nothing. I can get a phone (7310) on that DN (35, port...
