HI I TRIED THE IE REPAIR ON THE 98SE it didn't help .how do i ping from the xp to the 98se machine?it is checked has never dial a connection on my machine and no proxy settings are checked . any ideas? pls help if i ping another address on the 98 se should any address work?

hello , would anyone know of any good programs out there that takes care of chkdsk and disk doctor for checking the errors on the hard drive ? chkdsk does a so-so job and my disk doctor i have works ok for 98 but not xp pro. so any suggestions ? thks veyes
