Nevermind! factory reset did the trick. Now i can get into "installer" mode, and i don't even need to because it reset whatever the problem was. Thanks!

Those are both good ideas, i looked in the PDF manual and i don't see anything about installer mode, and i think the *+# might be fore the 1232 model but i'm definitely going to try it as soon as i get back to the office.
