thanks for getting back to me.... when I go to transparency flattening preset it is set at high res. Everything turns grey and the images with the clipped background and a drop shadow have a red solid box around them thanks

having problems with clip outs & drop shadows. Everything looks ok when converting to a pdf, but once its gone to printers - a black box appears around the clipped out image.
