Thanks for that bcastner. I have tried that fix before to no avail. What is weird is that if I have 5 windows open then the problem doesn't exist. I might go back to square one and reformat and reload everything. A day's wasted time!!

Hi, IE6 has suddenly developed a weird glitch... If I click on a link which wants to open a new window it wont do it unless I right click on the tab on the bottom info bar and then left click. Weird. Not serious but a pain. I have uninstalled and reinstalled IE6 but still the same..Any ideas?

bcastner and carrr, I've been through all of your suggestions with no luck. Another clue might be that when IE 6 was uninstalled the same error was happening in IE 5... Its very frustrating. Thanks a lot anyway and further ideas would be gratefully accepted. Cheers Steve
