I have the answer. At last.
When you install Netscape, choose the custom install.
Then refuse the mail selection in the custom install.
When you do this, Netscape uses windows default mailer.
It is as simple as that.
Thanks for your help.
I've tried a million different variations without success.
Would definitely be interested to hear if anyone has accomplished this objective with Netscape7 and GW6, so I can decide whether to keep at this.
Thanks for the response.
I tried this with Netscape 7 and GW 6.
I could tell that netscape was reading the user.js file, because it rejected the file when an illegal character was inserted.
But it does not yield the desired result.
I don't believe this is a GW issue; I think it is a Netscape...
Does anyone know how to cause netscape 7 to link to Groupwise 6 email so that when you click on an mailto: link the groupwise email window is launched?
Thanks for the answer. Only one year and 12 days after my last post. I'd forgotten about this post. In the meantime, we found that we could not backup Groupwise 6 on arcserve, so we have switched to Backup Exec. That has solved our pruning purging problem completely. Who knows, maybe we'll...
I'm sorry, I think you misunderstood my question, which may not have been clear.
I have a delphi program which, using object API, sets up an archive for each user on our network. It establishes the location using the user's email handle. So jvonkorff gets f:\backup\groupwise\jvonkorff. When...
Ok. This raises a question I've been waiting to ask. We are relatively new groupwise users (GW 6)
How do I make a backup of an archive and put it away for safe keeping.
In our case, user jvonkorff would have the archive located in folder f:\backup\gwise\jvonkorff
Do I create a copy of...
Hmmm. I was once advised that when you BCC, that hides the list from display, but that the additional blind copied addresses ride along with the email, so that it is still available to the recipient, and is actually displayed in some email applications configured appropriately (or should I say...
When I send email to a distribution list, I would like each recipient's email to display only the receipient's name in the to field. I do not want the other recipient's names listed or available. Is it possible to accomplish this objective reliably.
Thank you.
Ok. I'm sure that somebody else knows better than I.
But I futzed around with calling ole from dll's for a time and decided that it was generally a mistake. I use executables for ole. And I have seen a number of suggestions from others to the same effect.
Here's another solution which I use to solve the same problem.
I place the exe file on the network. I also have a second exe file, call it update.exe.
Now my main program call it main.exe in the onclose event checks the date of the main.exe and compares it to the date of the exe file on the...
Delphi provides outstanding database and server support.
It is easy to learn; easy to write in.
Efficient compiler creates the exe file immediately, so compile and debug is fast.
Excellent development tool. Buy the Delphi Professional version to get a feel for whether you like it or not.
Are we talking MS SQL here; don't have it currently on our system.
I'm a lawyer by day and IS manager by all the rest of the time.
I program in Delphi--dbase and COM, but have limited SQL experience. Is there a technical document on setting up SQL
Thanks for your help and thanks Susan for...
We've been having troubles associated with our ARCSERVE 6.6 for months. We think we have traced them to pruning and purging operations. We have an outside vendor, but it does not seem to have any insight on this problem at all.
We are Novell 5.1. We have an NT server running a cache...
