i assume you have the servers set up to boot in verbose mode? Software is unfortunately not 100% guaranteed to work the exact same way every time (stupid human programmers!) If its very intermittant, and a reboot solves the issue, my thoughts would lean toward some sort of driver or protocol...
well with the current setup, since i work for the american red cross (nonprofit w/ outdated equip) we only have one citrix server at the moment to put it out on, but thankfully we DO have a test enviornment set up in the basement. The one joy i love about MS RMS (omg i said i love a microsoft...
Woohoo!!! Being a guinea pig is fun! :-P Sorry about the non-clarification, I didnt think that RMS could have about 20 different acronyms till after i posted the original thread. I'll keep you updated on how deployment goes if you want. We didnt even consider trying to publish this in citrix...
Microsoft Retail Managment System, its a POS software which is the "upgrade" for quicksell 2000 (aka microsoft bought another company out and stamped their name all over their product)
Has anybody tried to deploy Microsoft's RMS manager program in citrix? If so, is it a difficult deployment? Is the interface able to be 'locked down' to where a user cannot access certain features? I dont imagine it would be too much of an issue to get the program installed and published...
hahahha, oh man...
well here's an update on the final part of what has gone down regarding this whole 'isolated network'.
the story breaks down like this...
We originally were setting up this network, so anybody who would be working in the disaster recovery center this weekend (thanks alot...
Glen - i discovered that myself.... i do appreciate the assistance, we had to yank the thing completely out of the back of the 5509 and plug it directly into the DMZ on our firewall.... this has resolved the issue entirely :)
*does happy server dance*
I'm in the MIS Dept for the American Red Cross
My current project is to set up a completely isolated network aside from our normal one, for the disaster command center. This separate network is not part of the domain, nor do we want it to be. The only thing in common with our network we want...
Apparantly i've ended up with a corrupted entry in one of my DB's here. Whenever i use crystal to run a report on the DB, it hits this one specific record and returns a 536 error regarding it. Everything i've looked up says that its 99% a corrupt record. If this is the case, is there a way to...
The version of ADP we're about to install currently uses crystal reports 7, the fun comes in, because the latest version of raisers edge, uses crystal reports 8. Can ADP be fooled into thinking that CR8 is actually CR7? If so, how? Simply installing adp then RE to overwrite the common file?
About how long is the time delay from the print queue, to actual printing? We've got some very 'testy' execs here who want things printed 'on the now', and i dont want to waste time testing this out if it takes 10 minutes for one document to print (stupid HP! stupid printers!!). Not really a...
Has anybody else had any problems with citrix, using PCL6? I'm about to put this on the test enviornment here @ the red cross, and i need to know if anybody has had any issues with the protocal OTHER than with HP printers. If any of my fellow MIS/IT types have citrix running with pcl6 and are...
