    I did try to reprogram from scratch too. I am wondering if it just wasn't a feature in R1. I might try to find the latest firmware to manually upgrade the handset, see if that might make any difference.

    Unfortunately, it doesn't ask for a name after programming the button. I've tried via the Element Manager, Desktop Assistant Pro, and manually through the phone itself. I have accessed the manual from the BCM, it doesn't talk about renaming the buttons on its version of the manual.

    On some of the external dial numbers, it's just a long set of numbers that are displayed. I'd like to customize it to say the person/company that I am dialing.
