The pulse/tone issue is the answer - when I change to tone on the line by using the # key, I can have instant access. However, I can't seem to get into the trunk settings.
How do I get in to change the trunk settings?

This is an old system, DR5, I believe. There is no software and no voice mail. Model 7310, Meridian.
