    yes im connecting it with a usb and yes the external hdd did work with the computer im using to retrieve the data, thanks sorry for the bad answers lol

    yer im trying to slave it im using windows vista and the connection is made through my external hdd, i took it apart and connected my hdd to to it n connected it to my comp, its interface is sata model number is: hts541610j9sa00
