I have the same issues with 11. After upgrading to 11, the first few backups were good, didnt merge to db. Then it got to the point where it would only backup 2 sessions, on the third it would die. Applied 11.1, had one good backup, now the server is running out of memory. Could be Im running it...
Ive spent a lot of my time including Avaya tier 3 tech time working on this. The ONLY way I got this to work is by the following method. We are using two fax servers for 6 offices. There are two parts to my config: the centralized fax office, and the remote offices.
Centralized fax office...
Im back. Ive been able to get DTMF to pass using a shortcode and a user set to unconditional forwarding to the fax group. Although the IPO still doesnt work like I think it should, being as we have to tell it what digits to output for DTMF. I still think you should be able to point the incoming...
Arrrrghhh. Well, its working, kind of. The fax server is reading the 7594 (fax hunt group) as the DID. Heres what I have:
Incoming call route:
incoming number: DID fax
destination: *1111 (shortcode)
Shorcode:
SC: *1111
TN: 7594D
LG: 0
Feature: DialExtn
Hunt Group:
name: VHFaxServer
ext: 7594...
IPGuru,
Thanks for the info. Im new at this so please bear with me. I understand what you typed above, but how do I get the fax DID to use the shortcode? What should the Incoming call route be for the 10 digit fax?
I can call a DID fax directly, and the fax server does pickup. If I enter digits manually from the phone, the fax server will pick up on on the DTMF digits.
But when a fax machine calls the DID fax, it isnt detecting the DID fax number as defined in the IPO.
One way we tested this was by...
Is there a way to specify how many DTMF digits should be passed from the IPO to a FAX server? Our system is programmed so that the DID fax #'s go to a hunt group. The only digits the fax server receives is the 4 digit hunt group, not the 10 digit DID.
Any ideas?
Morrack - yeah, thats pretty much what I thought.
Thats not a bad idea to use an IP phone. Technically I have no equipment yet. I have a proposal for 6 offices (400 digital phones). The first office for deployment is moving to a new location in 6 weeks (didnt want to spend the cash to...
New to the forum, so no flaming please. We have 4 offices that we're looking at deploying the IPO to (actually 6 but one is connect via PTP T1, and the other is connect via DSL/wireless bridge out of my control).
Office A - Cisco 2651XM w/ VPN card IP+/FW ios w/ T1 to Verio ISP
Office B - Cisco...
