    CD/DVD drive not recognizing

    I had same problem last week, only I have two optical drives and both suddenly disappeared. Didn't show in BIOS either. I ran WinAudit (free tool) and it confirmed the sudden disappearance of both drives. Opened the case, made sure the cable connections were secure. Closed the case...
