I believe i have the issue resolved. In the details tab under the properties menu for my HP4100N i changed the driver from PCL to PS. Now checks print fine. The PS driver may not use the GDI module for printing. I am not for sure, this was more a lucky guess then a thought out solution.- chasd00

general protection fault with gdi.exe and hp4100N
I am having a problem when printing checks to my hp4100n. whenever i attempt a check print i get a general protection fault with gdi.exe. The printer works fine with all my other applications. Also, check printing works fine when i print to a different network printer like one of my Okidata line...- chasd00
