It's amazing hoe tough is to handle Btrieve!!. Actually I'm not a programmer but I'm stubborn and determined. Most probably you've already considered these issues but just to make sure,here it goes.
1.- Actual 32bit ODBC drivers only support Btrieve 6.15 and up.

I'm trying to access Btrieve 5.0 files trough a macro in Excel 97 .Now the problem is that there is no 32-bit Windows Requester available for this version of Btrieve. On the other hand , trying to use wbtrcall.dll gives me an error...
You can try Btsearch from Nelson Software Solutions. You ca download this softaware from www.nss.addr.com , the simpler version costs $49.00 and is quite enough to recognize the btrieve version , read and/or create DDF files , browse a btrieve database and convert it to ASCII or Dbase format...
