I have my Windows SBS server fully configured to receive PPTP VPN connections. I'm using an ASA 5500 as my gateway, and am having trouble configuring IP Protocol #47 GRE passthrough. Had no problem configuring ACLS to allow TCP protocol PPTP and IP protocol GRE through, my problem...
I made the above changes to no avail. Instead I simply changed the PAT settings from the outside IP address of the ASA to an unused IP and have been having great success since.
Thanks so much for the response, I was putting much faith into the GUI I have never seen before and not putting my head into the command line. First thing tomorrow morning I'll try these config changes and post the results. Thanks again, Jim.
