I have a w2003 network with 98, 2k and XP clients, and office from 97 through to 2003.
The file server seem quite slow at times, usually the disk queue stays below .5 but sometimes there is a hit queue length hitting 4 or 5 for periods of time network sees at hit at the same time, drive is raid...

Thanks for that, spreading the users was the best solution I could think of as well, But I was sure I had heard of a software pakage that allowed you to mirror the information stores in EX2K, But I have also dreamed about computers with no users so maybe it was just wishfull thinking.

Dont Know if you have solved your problem yet, I had the same thing with one client machine, I tried reinstalling,installing to a different machine but nothing worked.
