    USB Drivers

    W2K runs NTFS. Maybe when you originally registered, you had a FAT32 system, and MS isn't 'seeing' it. Check the MS knowledge base for troubleshoot.

    Diagnostic utilities

    Try lockergnome, ZDnet, CNet for archived diagnostic tools. they all have a 'load of them'. Depends on how much you really want to know. Also try Belarc Advisor. That's a good one, and free. Aida32 is also a good one. More than you'll ever need to know.

    Updating Win98 SE, to Win 2000 pro.

    W2k should be a NT file system. Works better, will read all the old files created in FAT32. Even works w/ old programs from 98, ME, etc. Clean your disc, start over with NTFS and try again.
