we start on monday with a differential backup and on friday we do a full backup. so i want to delete on monday the diff-tape once to start a clean diff-backup.

Did you partition the drives manually or has the idr done this for you ?
By the way: we have the same Network und we also use be 8.6 with idr and a 70GB dlt drive. The speed we had to restore a bdc (for testing)...

That´s it, weakpun ? Puh, i guess i checked the idr option with be 8.5 and this version could restore the whole partition data... ok, if i have to create the partitions on my own, i really ask me if it´s possible to do this automatically.

yes, i have read the two doc´s. since they discribe how to restore only ONE partition, it doesn´t help me very much cause 1 partition is not the problem.
i contacted veritas support by phone, but this is bad. i don´t want to wait 1 hour on the phone.

Here is my problem:
Server is down cause HD is dead, all Data is lost. The HD must be replaced. The old HD had 2 partitions (2GB, 18GB, all NTFS)
