Same problem on two machines at work. I disabled power management in the BIOS and also changed settings in the software - power management - so the system doesn't 'stand by'.

My thoughts would be along the same lines as the others re printer drivers but, KISS principle here, do you have print sharing enabled? (Control Panel, Network, File and Print Sharing)
As Paul says...I think you need to add more colours.
For the defrag, I find it best to do this in safe mode. Minimum drivers are loaded and it works faster. When you boot, press F8 and start up in safe mode, defrag and then reboot as your normally would. Works like a charm.
