Thanks for your help on this curlycord, it's much appreciated! From outside, people dial 300 at the AA. Inside, we just dial 300. We have to press 9 to get an outside line.
This is something you helped me with a while back curlycord. I needed to create a few mailboxes that weren't going to be tied to an extension. We needed a Corporate Compliance Hotline, a Happiness Hotline, etc. You showed me that I could take one phone, and then tie virtual DN's to it, and...
cook1082, there's no way to turn off CLID for that one extension/virtual DN?
jsaad, that sounds like it would work, but it's a bit cumbersome. We have it in the CCR tree for outside callers, but internally we just want staff to be able to dial 300 for the hotline.
Right now I have a handset in the server closet with our MICS system and I have a bunch of virtual DN's tied to it for "special" mailboxes. One of these mailboxes is supposed to be an anonymous corporate compliance hotline. The problem is, when someone logs into the mailbox to retrieve...
Man, you are fast! I'm under the impression that with Auto, it's all or nothing. Meaning, if we set it for Auto from 4:00PM to 8:00AM there is now way to turn it off if we in fact need to stay late and answer phones until 5:00PM. Maybe that isn't the case? Also, I'm not sure what you mean by...

Hi curlycord! Thanks for the info, but the problem is I need people to be able to dial an extension internally and get to the mailbox. My boss is very picky and doesn't want to have to use the Feature key/code to get to the mailbox. He wants people to be able to dial 300 and get the corporate...
I should have mentioned...I already have an old phone locked away in my server room that I used to set up a corporate compliance hotline (I didn't know about the virtual DN's then and thoght this was the only was to get a mailbox). I've read other posts that say you can multiple virtual DN's on...
Hello! I am pretty noobish when it comes to phone systems, so I need "hold-your-hand" instructions on how to set this up. I need to set up a few mailboxes that aren't tied to an extension. I came across this post explaining how to create virtual DN's:
