This is really annoying me..., can anyone help?
I'm using an Excel workbook to act as a startup app for a PowerPoint presentation.
I need to load a couple of addins for the PowerPoint when it starts.
The users launch the Excel file by clicking on a link on our intranet.
In the workbook_open...
Rosemary and Infobabe,
I was exporting using the Craxdrt.dll and the crEFTWordForWindows designation for .FormatType
I never found a workaround for it. Our client didn't mind the RTFs, so I didn't spend too much time on it.

Is crystal capable of exporting into msWord format?
When I do an export to Word 97-2000 the resulting file has a .doc extension but if I look at it in notepad or in a hex editor it's actually just an RTF file.
Is this the designed behavior? If not, any idea what's causing it?
I'm running CR...
Ngolem is correct.
I wrote a control that uses crystal to display and print reports. I built in functionality that intercepts the mouse click event in the viewer and displays a different report (gives the illusion of drilling down on things that don't allow drilling down on)
So if the user...
In other words, I want to field to be visible when the report is viewed in the viewer, but I don't want to see it on a print out?
Any help is much appreciated.

I have an application that dynamically creates a recordset. The recordset is then used to create Crystal reports. 2 of the fields are either BMP or TIFF Blobs. The quality of the BlOBs in the viewer and in exported reports is severely degraded. The images look just fine when printed, however...
I was wondering if someone could help me.
I have a VB application that creates a recordset in memory and then uses crystal to generate a report off of the recordset. The reports are created in Crystal using a dummy database that has a table that looks like the recordset.
Everything works fine...
I'm using CR 8.5
I have a 1 page report that's essentially a 4 bar chart with some info. It takes a very long time to pring on a network printer. The job spools fairly quickly but takes about 30 to actually print 1 page.
The printer is an HP 4050N
I'm guessing it could be something with the way...
The thing is that there are a lot of logo possibilities, and the end users should have the option of chosing their own file to act as a logo.
I can add 2 fields to the recordset, 1 for each logo.
I can programatically populate those fields. I run into resource problems if I populate all the...
How would I go about doing that?
I just need to have 2 different logos on each report. The users will need to be able to choose the logo at run time.
Do you mean the the logos should be sub-reports?
Thanks,
JC
Hi,
How can I use the BLOB field from 1 record as a logo on all the page headers in the report.
I know that one solution would be to copy the logo into every record, but that wastes too much space.
Is there a way to tell crystal to just use the BLOB from X record for all the page headers...
I'm using VB 6/CR 8.5
Is there a way to create a bar chart so that the bar is red if the value is negative and green if the value is positive?
Thanks in advance for any help.
