Probably not because they are not on a hub. If you want them to see each other. Get cheap Ethernet cards ($10) for each and a hub ($15-20) and some ethernet cables. Make sure netBios is activated and you will be able to see each other without disrupting your internet connection sharing

Hope you have an anti-virus because that file sounds like the KLEZ virus. It's file always starts with the word wink and then is followed by a few random characters and then .exe. There is a fix tool for this virus on Symantecs site. Check there also.

127.0.0.1 is probably the reply you should get from that ping. That ip is your card. If you pinged 127.0.0.1 you would be pinging yourself.
