yes, I have. I even deleted myself from the permissions and gave them to myself again and still I cannot access that person's calendar. It's pretty much patchy for everyone here. Some days they can read someone else's calendar and some days they can't. But one person never has any problems...
I've discovered the answer myself purely by accident.
Here's the solution:
Get to Internet Options in whichever manner you like.
Click on the Connections tab.
Click on LAN Settings
Click on Advanced
Check the box next to "Use the same proxy server for all protocols"
Click OK
