Answered my own question here:
1. Realised that it wasn't over a month since config last changed, it was just over a week ago
2. Found "enable qosmonitor port 1:1" and "enable qosmonitor port 2:6" in the config
Simple really, but not one I've seen before.
Now to find out who did...
I hate to say it (as I'm guessing you've already ordered by now), but I (we) wouldn't go near them with a barge-pole...
Sort of...
I've got to admit, we haven't got any X450s, but if our experience of Black Diamonds, Alpines and Summits is anything to go by (and we've got a lot), you probably...
Hi folks,
We've got a BD6804 which has inexplicably started giving us hundreds of informational messages in its event log about the "transmit count" on two of it's ports.
It's very odd, config hasn't changed for over a month on this device, but we noticed today that every 20 seconds it tells...
Hello All,
We're seeing (and have done since the time immemorial) lots of very rapid failures of UTP links on our Alpines & Black Diamonds. There doesn't seem to be any common factor to the occurences and it happens on pretty much every Extreme switch we have (lots). Basically, every half...
Thanks Chicocouk,
Some really good looking possibilities here.
I've already shaved the bottom end off the global pool to exclude the static ranges, though actually the Pix seems to start using addresses from the middle of the range rather than the bottom (all the dynamically assigned xlate...
Hello All,
I'm completely stumped by a problem I'm having with an "edge" connection between us ourselves and a customer and wonder if anyone can see why.
Here's the gist:
We have a Pix 506e at the edge of our network, plugged virtually back-to-back with our customers firewall.
Our Firewall...
Yes, we do have Active Directory Service within our own domain. At the moment, the servers that make up the phone system are in a seperate (untrusted) AD.
Thanks Very much Riaanl,
The page is ASP. The bit I'd be very interested in, is how, when your users click the "dial" link, the web server tells TAPI which TN number to connect the call to.
Cheers,
Andy
No, it's not that. The SoftPhone already "remembers" the last TN it used (in fact, it's told that by the server when it connects).
Our call centre staff use an IIS based intranet application, developed by us to update customer information. When they look up customer info, we have given them...
Yes indeed, SouthWest UK.
I'm now certain that the server is supplying the SoftPhone with it's last known TN number. That should have made things fairly easy, except for the fact that the server is not part of our domain (installed by third-party with the rest of the phone system), so we can't...
Hmm...
Just done some more testing. I ran a packet capture, limited to traffic to and from my own workstation, then ran up the SoftPhone software.
It seems that the server is telling the SoftPhone which TN it last used, I can actually see a packet from the server to the softphone containing...
Hello all,
We're using about 50 Nortel i2050 SoftPhones in our call centre and have implemented a rudimentary click-to-dial function in our intranet site using TAPI, whereby our users can look up customer details and when they find them simply click a link to have our Succession switch dial and...
