Thanks for the reply.
I've already tried this and it just doesn't work :-(.
I created the rule although there is no "subject header", just "subject" or "message header" and I've tried both. Sent emails from another account with read receipts and the rule doesn't work, they stay in the inbox...
I'd like to create a rule that runs when an email arrives in the inbox, so that any email sent with a read receipt request is moved to a different folder. Is this possible to do and how should it be set up?
Thanks

I tried safe mode but that didn't work - just crashed as usual (same with the other /"options").
I have part of the Dr Watson log if that is of help.....
Application exception occurred:

We use Outlook 2000 with Exchange 2000 for company email. I have a problem with one user who is unable to use Outlook. Everytime you start Outlook, it instantly comes up with an error message: "Outlook.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows". Outlook then closes about 3 seconds...
I was told that I could install Exchange 2003 on a new FE server whilst there was still an active Exchange 2000 FE server in the organisation, this info now appears to be wrong. I've done all the prep work and now when I try to install Exchange on this new server I get an error saying:
"Setup...
Is it necessary to run the Inetorgpersonfix.ldf script before running ForestPrep prior to the installation of Exchange 2003?
We have a Windows 2000 domain with Exchange 2000, and I'm installing the first copy of Exchange 2003 on a new Windows Server 2003. It's not the first 2003 server in the...
thanks for the replies.
I've actually sotred the problem now. As I said, the settings were all correct, it's just that I had it patched into a switch for DHCP clients only!! Bit of a silly mistake but all fixed now.
Thanks for the reply.
It is indeed a Windows server (2003). The subnet mask and default gateway are both correct - exactly the same as the other servers that work.
I'm trying to assign an IP address to a new server but it doesn't appear to be working. All of our workstations use DHCP to get their IP Address, and if I set this server to use DHCP, it can connect to the domain fine. If I try to give it static IP address however, I can't connect to the domain...

I've got to run ForstPrep and DmoainPrep before I begin the installation of our first Exchange 2003 server, but I need to know if it's safe to run both ForestPrep and DomainPrep during normal office hours??? Will this have any negative effects on the network in any way??
I realise that there...
I've set up a new network (completely seperate to our main network) to test exchange migration, and I was just wondering if it's possible to get a copy of the Active Directory from the backup tapes of the main network onto the new network.
The main reason I want to do this is so that I have a...
I've just read an article about Exchange front-end servers which says:
"You can't install any Exchange 2003 back-end servers into an administrative group that contains Exchange 2000 front-end servers. In addition, if you install an Exchange 2003 server and use the server's Properties dialog box...
but will Exchange 2003 standard edition allow you to have a front end server (unlike Exchange 2000 standard) thus getting rid of the need for us to use Exchange 2003 Server Enterprise edition?
We currently have 3 Exchange 2000 servers all running Enterprise edition (we have a front-end server and also the database size is currently 25Gb).
We are planning to upgrade to Exchange 2003 soon, and I was wondering if we still need the Enterprise edition for all 3 servers. I know that the...
Thanks for the reply.
One more quick question; if I upgrade the OWA server, then the primary server, can I leave the bridgehead server for a while, or will it need to be done at the same time? (no ccmail or msmail).
A bit of info required if anyone can help.....
We have 3 exchange 2000 servers: the 1st is the primary exchange server with all the mailboxes on, the 2nd is used to route all of the emails into and out of our company, and the 3rd is a Front-End server used for OWA.
I was just wondering if we...
