    Does Lucent Win Modem works with Red Hat Linux ?

    Hi Rosti, Any external modem will work with Linux as they have all the components that a real modem needs. Hope that helps:) Bobby

    erase memory

    To do that all you have to do is go to start>settings>taskbar&start menu...then at the top hit the start menu programs tab, at the bottom click the clear button on documents menu and that should do it for you...

    Sound Card Conflict

    Try removing the card, uninstalling the drivers/utils. Get updated drivers if you haven't done so yet. Reinstall everything and uncheck the lpt sharing box and see if that helps.
