Is it possible to connect to a printer via IP from NT4.0 server?
I have a very basic login script that handles mapping drives but has nothing to do with printing.
Is this at all possible.
I have an NT server with three primary partitions.
One partition is the SYS partition that is 3GB in size.
The second partition is 14GB in size and the third and final partition is 6GB in size.
I have recently built a NT server to act as a backup for this server. I have copied the current...
That is correct.
Only the individual who submitted the questionnaire should be able to modify it.
It is imperative that they remain annonomous. Sorry ignore the encryption bit.
These questionnaires must be completed in the space of a month, those submitted to the system after will be rejected by...
How can I then encrypt the questionnaire responses?? To limit access to only the individual who responded??? Limit access so user A cannot see user B's questionnaire?
Hi guys.
At present, in work, we often conduct user surveys to provide us with feedback of the IT service we provide for users.
At present we hand out hard copies of the questionaire and pass them out to the users. The users fill in thw questionnaire (annonmously) and hand them back. We then...

The box is un-ticked and from Policies->Account there are no restrictions on the passwords. The passwords are due to expire every 60 days?
Hi guys,

I have a group of users that connect to a NT 4.0 domain. The policy for the users clearly specifies that users ARE allowed to change their passwords.
However, when the user attempts to change their password they are unable to do so?

Any ideas?
Thanks

At present users print to three printers via (dodgy) IP ports.
I would like to configure the printers as physical printers on the NT4.0 server using the IP addresses of the printers.

Doh!!!
Sorry the user is using Windows 95.
She logged the call stating she was using this OS however, after investigating I have since discovered the user is using W95!!
I have a user that is using W98 to access a W2K share.
The users drives are mapped using KIxscript.
This works fine initially, however, after a period of inactivity the user can often not access her home drive.
The access rights on the share are fine.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
Thanks.
I have a number of printers set-up on my W2K server.
Client machines connect to the printers by browsing the AD and selecting the printer.
When printing from Excel users are finding that jobs are printing outside of the gridlines.
When I then connect the printer to the local machine, rather than...
