There is an app that will remove the "X" in the top-right hand corner of your published app (if that's how your users are closing their app)...
I've always seen it, but never needed to use it because we publish a desktop. I just can't remember the name of it. SORRY! If I do, I post back...
Ok, so if my (bad) DC has been turned completely off (no power) for over 7 months, I have nothing to worry about as far as anything being replicated when I bring this box online, etc.?

If oDrives.Item(i) <> "H:" then WshNetwork.RemoveNetworkDrive...
OK, before everyone tells me to look at the FAQs... I have! :-)
I have ascript that deletes all mapped network drives, but I want to preserve their H: drive (user Home Dir).
Here's the basic remove all:
===============
On error resume next
Set WshNetwork =...
..."."
Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:\\" & strComputer & "\root\cimv2")
Set colInstalledPrinters = objWMIService.ExecQuery _
("Select * From Win32_Printer Where Network = True")
For Each objPrinter in colInstalledPrinters
objPrinter.Delete_
