I have been using SMDR 6 for a while now and have gotten proper callid number information reporting when connected through a PRI to telco.
Recently, I added several "POTS" lines with callerid on them and connected them to a callerid card (in lieu of the older LS/DS).
I am able to get callerid...
You cant program a digit for getting an outside line on PRI-A. You need to setup a route and destination code combination that points to PRI-A. (ie. 9(ANY) strips the 9 and calls route 222 and route 222 says use PRI-A.
Thats all there is to it.
Rcevel,
WIth a PRI you need to use destination codes and routes, NOT access codes.
You need to create a pool called PRI-A and create a destination code ala 9... and point the destination code 9... to pool PRI-A, then you need to give access to PRI-A to all of the stations that wish to make a...
I think Hawks has it right here. The only way I have successfully gotten 2 Norstars to talk via the PRI is using the SL-1 private networking protocol. This does require the MCDN keycode irrespective of whether you choose to take advantage of the other networking features it provides.
For the record, you can choose a different range of F codes with the Flash. I dont know if you can do this with the Mini and I know you cant do this with a NAM.
Interestingly enough, with a CP, it will find its own way to the F codes, but if there is an existing email in place at the default...
I dont know about BCM, but on MICS you need a keycode for PRI.
Also, what protocol are you selecting? If you are using MCDN (private networking)(yet another keycode on MICS), you need to setup 1 as master and another as slave. That is the only way I have worked with a PRI switch to switch...
Arr,
The Nam is V4.1
I dont know how to go back with the CP. I only have the software that it came with (2.0).
I am going to give it another go on Sunday and will let you know. Meanwhile, if you have any suggestions, I will take em.
Thanks,
Harold
Arr,
I notice all of the combinations yo mentioned include the flash. I know for sure you can do this with the flash, but is there any way you can test a CP NAM or even CP/CP combination?
I have limited resources and cant make this test. If this does not work, I guess I will be looking to...
Arr,
This is on a system 6.0 XC
As to the NAM it is running 4.1 and running very good
The CP is a 2.0
Here was my experience
I installed and started up the CP while the NAM was up and running. I went to the call manager and initialized the CPand this went fine.
I did an XFtest and saw the...
How does one "choose" a feature code range on a CP100? I fro one saw no option to allow this. If is my understanding that the F range is chosen all by itself for the CP.
VencomRob, I do not think this is a "hacked" CP. It came, new wrapped in the box from a reliable dealer. I also think it...
What I call the F range is the value of the Function codees that do the functions of the voicemail, like F983 (admin), F981 (check VM), etc.
Well, the high range is normally like F983 (admin), etc..
This range is usually fixed on the voicemail systems by Nortel but the Startalk Flash has the...
Would anyone know if there is a choice of an F range for installing and using a CP100, latest software?
I would like and try to put it on a system with a pre existing NAM and keep the NAM in place where it is.
I know the Startalk Flash has that option, but I have had conflicting reports on the...
Hi,
It would appear that once in a while (maybe 1 out of 100 calls) we will get a 1/2 ring then a hangup on an incoming target line (from a Telco PRI). The person calls back and everything is OK the 2nd time.
Has anyone experienced this type of problem and if so, what did you find?
Jgideon,
I have made contact with a CLEC that says they will do it. I am signing contracts today and will report back in about 30 days when the circuit comes in to let you know my experiences. If they are favorable, it will be a win for us all.
