Sorted it!
I forgot to mention I also changed firewall routers. This new model supported SSL VPN, which was listening on port 443. 443 traffic wasn't being passed to the server.
I changed the default port on it, and all is well.
Hello,

Hi,
I created a "Managed Content Setting" on the Default Folder Inbox. That deletes emails after 365 days.
I then created a "Managed Folder Mailbox Policy" and added the the Inbox (default folder) to it.
I then applied the policy to a single users mailbox.
If I enable the managed folder...

This was a certificate mismatch.
I have a Go Daddy cert installed in IIS for OWA, but the RWW site in IIS was using the self signed.
Ran the fix my network wizard, it displayed Component 4 network problem. And all is well.

An internal error has occured (error 50331688).
Has anyone encountered this before, or have any ideas?

Hi,
If I run the Internet Address Management wizard a second time and change the default "remote" domain name, what impact will it have?
I have an SSL with the domain mail.domain.com. RWW does not let me log onto a computer because the certificate and internet address do not match. So instead...
Hi,
I bought an UCC SSL Certificate from Go Daddy, and installed it succesfully.
But the RWW site would not work because the name on my cert is mail.domain.com and not remote.domain.com.
So I ran the Add Trusted Certificate wizard but could only see the remote.domain.com self signed...

Read only DC! fab! that'll do the trick, forgot about that one. thanks Pagy.
Davetoo - It seems Microsoft did address those concerns users might have with physical security of a DC in a branch office, and created Read Only DC's in 2008. It's easy to see a weakness in any...
Hi all,

The branch office is in a very remote location, internet access is intermittant so the VPN between them and us goes down regular. When this happens they cant access any shares on their local file/print server.

Thanks for the replies.
I'm not keen on making the server a DC for security reasons.
I want to keep it a member file server only.
The users are ok logging on as per cached credentials. I thought cached credentials or something similar would allow them to open the shared files also?
Thanks
Phil
