    I've been nosing around exchange and it seems to have something to do with the exchange log files. Whenever the full backups are done, exchange deletes the old ones to make room for the new ones. Did you check your server to make sure Circular Logging isn't enabled??

    No, we're running Winnt Server with Exchange 5.5 sp4. The backup exec is 8.6 and I'm not sure where to find the build #. What is the sigifigance fo the build # anyway?? Like I said, I know how to fix it, but it's just a temporary fix.

    Abort Pending - won't abort??

    Is it really that important to do a long erase?? If I were you I'd do a Quick Erase. They run in like 5 min or less and I have yet to have one hang.
