Try using OLE DB Drivers provided by Client Access or there many 3 party vendors who provide OLE DB Drivers. ODBC are so outdated.

When you create a source connection using iseries access Odbc driver, in the connection properties window you can specify the user the user id and the password. Once you you save the package and execute it, it will not require you to enter it again, unless the password expires.

I have to execute a DTS Package after which pulls Data from the AS/400. But I cannot strat the package until the night job on the AS/400 finishes because the night job populates few files and the DTS has to pull those files.
How to you check whether the night job on the AS/400 has completed...
