System file checker
If I can't find a file needed by System File Checker anywhere, including the Windows CD-ROM, then it must not be necessary for computer startup. dial up connection settings won't stay set.
ZoneAlarm and Norton System Works 2003 were definitely incompatible with each other for me - I had to uninstall ZoneAlarm before Norton would install and work right. Did they fix that on Norton 2004? Ron- rwp728

Hi Rachel, You should run Ad-Aware or PestPatrol automatically in the background and keep the definition files up to date just like with Norton Antivirus - VERY important. Cookies and temporary Internet files can / should be removed every time you exit your browser to keep it clean - just like...- rwp728
