Yes, the folders can be renamed and I see what you did here. So the folders should sort by the numbers actually rather than the name of the book. Is this what you are alluding to? Sounds reasonable to me. I'll try it out. Thank you Andy so much for the help. This is very helpful. I don't know...
I am not trying to be difficult here so please don't take it that way.
I just want to align the New Testament folders to be in this order:
Matthew
Mark
Luke
John
Acts
Romans
1 Corinthians
2 Corinthians
Galatians
Ephesians
Philippians
Colossians
1 Thessalonians
2 Thessalonians
1 Timothy
2...
I'm sorry but this is just not happening for me. My main objective is to sort either files or folders in Bible Book order. I have memorized the Bible books over my years and I just want my files to appear in the order the books appear in the Bible. Maybe I'm just asking too much here. I am just...
Andy, what I am trying to accomplish is the ability to sort my files in folders (Bible order) so that if I want to see a file or files related to that book I can simply go to my list of folders (in Bible order) and select that individual folder. Am I making sense here?
Thanks Andy and this makes sense. However, my ability to follow your instructions is limited and I followed instructions to regedit and creating command sub-key but from that point on, I'm confused. Because I have never really gotten into the registry editor much I basically have to know each...

Skip - I always appreciate your posts which are most helpful.
I hope you don't mind, but I have one question I have asked Windows about to no avail and even to a couple of computer junkies I know but have yet to find an answer to. Since you already know that I am a retired...
Andrzejek - never mind, I finally got it to work with one modification. Instead of 5 ".Grows" I changed it to only have 4 ".Grows". It is working like a charm, just as I had requested and needed it to.
Thank you so very much.
Bob
Andrzejek:
I like what your Macro does, and it works fine when you open the Macro and click "Run". However, nothing happens when I use the shortcut "Alt L" or "Alt D". Am I missing something? I've even tried starting the Macro Record over and assigning the keyboard shortcut "Alt L" and "Alt D"...
Ahhhhh, thank you all for the options. I will probably try them all to see which serves me best. As always, I get the best help here at Tek-tips. You're all amazing!

I am still a novice user here - I am using Windows 10 on a PC and using Microsoft Word 365. I am a retired preacher and trying to write bible studies and here is my dilemma:
The word "Lord" or "LORD" is used in the Bible quite often, of course. I have found myself typing the word "LORD" and...
So Sam, if I understand you correctly, you're saying put my manuscript in "Comments" or "Notes"? If I do that, you're saying I can just print out my notes for the manuscript? Is there enough room in "Comments" or "Notes" for a lengthy discussion of the slide? If this is the case, then this can...
I prepare a Bible study each week and set up a Power Point presentation to go along with my lesson. I am using Windows 10 and Power Point (MS Office 365). I prepare my manuscript first and then open Power Point and create slides to coincide with my manuscript and hand-write the slide number on...
Hi Skip, and thank you for your response. What I'm trying to accomplish is simply this:
Not particularly interested in book form, just simply, landscape format, two columns (which fit nicely in my Bible), printed on one side and stacked in order so that I'm not turning pages, putting a number...
Pardon my novice question, but I have requested help from you folks many times and been so very pleased. Here is my issue:
I am using Windows 10, Office Word 365 and I am a preacher and have been printing sermons in two columns in landscape format. I know how to set up for page numbering but I...
