i can't change the e: assignment on the network. Software was written to look there for files. It would be allot of work to get off the e: drive.
What happens is, we have several common computers. with 20+ users that might happen to log into them. so 5 computers, 20 users, whats that, 100...
I have read some old posts but did not really find a good answer.
The lan guys before me started the network drives at E:. So of course when someone plugs in a memory stick, it does not get a letter drive to map. I usually have to log in and map it for them.

I installed a USB hard drive on a users XP pro computer. I logged in as an admin and installed the backup software that it came with. I when i log in as the user, the software will not run. It just craps out with the "send message to MS"...

Log in, under the Doman tab, there is an option for White List. Click there and add your domains.
it actually sounds like a "catch all" kinda thing. I actully have my spam filter set to drop the e-mails in the root. Every few weeks I look at whats in there and add stuff to the block file.

I have a user with a forward to name@msn.com. I send him an e-mail to my i-mail server (guy@company.com).
when checking the logs, I see the e-mail put in the local inbox and forwarded to msn.com. Then i get a bunch of mx record problems and eventually a status = 3 for the forwarded...
so I had a long talk with my computers this morning. We basily came up with some sort of compromise and this is what I got to work:

I went to my c drive and tried:
cd "program files
cd "c:\Program Files"
all kinds of stuff and it won't move over. This is on my XP laptop and Win2k server. really strange.
I'm chating with a guy in AIM, and he can do it no problem.

I think its the spaces that are killing me. I can't CD into the directory. i go:

cd quality system (i fixed the spelling) and it does not like it. I try using ""s and no luck.

ok, thanks for the help. Looks like TS service will not start on either server. I did not bring these server's up so i don't know what they are missing. I guess for now I can just keep walking in there.
