Too Many Entries -> Distribution List

are your recipients in the To section or BCC'd or are you using a particular program to address the emails? I would guess that the recipients servers are rejecting it based on the number of names, not an Outlook problem. You could try to hide the number of names by bcc (not sure if that would...

    Outlook 2003 mailbox sharing

From memory you give access to the person you want to use the mailbox and then you have to individually asign them access to the folders you want. The initial access is so they can connect to the mailbox the second access is so they can see the folders you want to share. __________________...

    Sitemap generator

If all you want is a sitemap for google there are plenty of free ones around. http://www.automapit.com/ does the job. Or are you talking about a site map for users to navigate? The link above also creates a sitemap.htm that you might be able to modify for navigation. __________________ Icon IT...

IPCOP dial up backup on red interface

You're right. I guess even a manual selection of what interface you want to use could work. It would then be up to the admin to determine if the cable was out or not and manually initiate a dial-up connection. I am guessing that IPCop may well be outside the scope of this forum, just...

IPCOP dial up backup on red interface

I have an ethernet connection to the red interface (internet) on IPCop and would like to know if it is possible to have a dialup backup. I have read through the IPCop manual, looked in the IPcop forum and other places suggested by a previous answer and cannot find what I am looking for.

    Connection randomly drops

had a similar problem with a faulty power unit. Wireless would be ok and then drop and the router lights would flash. This was especially during heavy use, simple browsing would be ok. If you can get a temp power pack and see if this does anything. Another symptom was that after powering off...

Join a Wireless Lan to the Wired Lan

that would be the LAN network card with a blank gateway NOT the wireless network card. sorry. Also make sure you secure the wireless. WPA is a minimum these days.

Join a Wireless Lan to the Wired Lan

Or a simple registry mod if you are running windows XP on the laptop. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters, look for IPenableRouter and set it to 1. If you are using the wireless as the internet then leave the default gateway on the network card blank.

    Wireless Problem

mac addressing is very easy to get around, there are freely available tools to both get a mac address from traffic and spoof a mac address. If you have those sorts of tools then you are in the business of hacking and getting around wep is a simple matter. What you would be mainly protecting...

    wireless connected but no internet????

have you got dhcp enabled or set it yourself? My wireless router does not send dhcp to clients the windows 2000 server does and the default gateway is NOT the wireless router. eg, the wireless router has IP 10.0.0.2 the dhcp hands out ip range 10.0.0.5-10 and gateway 10.0.0.1 If i manually...

    wireless network problem

has someone diabled the dhcp server on the router? Also tracert is a good tool to see how far you are getting. Try tracert 66.102.7.99 (www.google.com.au) see if you get anywhere and if so how far.

Dlink 614+ loses interface with traffic

I have a Dlink 614+ wireless router that loses wireless and ethernet connectivity if I have too much traffic (download etc). I can use it ok for simple browsing and am using it now to write this. I have the latest firmware and it was working well for a few weeks. It also takes ~3min + to...

I have Checkpoint version 4 that runs well with NT4, however there are problems with server 2000. Do I need to upgrade to NG to run on Win 2K? Or is there a patch for version 4 and Win 2 K? Thanks,

Cisco Vlan question - which vlan to put nt server?

I think you can also get server network cards that allow them to be members of multiple vlans. I would think though that you would not see much performance degredation with either option with the current vlan sizes you have. It can depend on the switches and router speeds. Best performance...
