Solution found, thanks to the help of S.Parker, D.Troxell and H. Tatton at softvelocity.public.clarion6 newsgroup. The installed Protector Suite utility conflicts with the linker Solution: kill the psqltray.exe wih task manager and Clarion works fine. sandro
