Forms don't execute from .exe file

Mike, Great call! Actually the config.fpw did have screen=off in it but the real issue is that the application was not supposed to be using that config file. Digging a little deeper I discovered that the config file that was supposed to be used was no where to be found. Thanks again, Jim...

Forms don't execute from .exe file

Further info. I thought maybe compiling on Win7 was contributing to the problem so I move the entire project to a Win XP computer and recompiled the .exe and that made no difference. Jim

Forms don't execute from .exe file

I have an application that I haven't touch in a couple years. The client has asked that I make some changes. It is presently running on their system just fine. I am generating a .exe file which has worked fine in the past and works fine from within the FoxPro environment: ie. Do my.exe. The...

    USB 1.1 & 2.0 mixed devices

Not according to D-link and Linksys. According to them, mixed devices will force all to drop back in speed to the slowest device. Truthfully, I had not ever heard this before today. As long as we are on the subject, got any ideas on how to tell what speed a USB is operating at? Jim

    USB 1.1 & 2.0 mixed devices

It is my understanding that mixing 1.1 and 2.0 USB devices on the same hub will cause all of the devices to drop back to 1.1 speed. I am wondering if I have one hub dedicated to 1.1 devices and one hub dedicated to 2.0 devices will they all drop back to 1.1 since they are ultimately plugged...

    Remotely Start a PCAnywhere Host

For what it's worth, I support clients all over the contry and have switched everyone to Dameware. It's faster and cleaner the pcAnywhere (and I user pcAny for years and years). The only thing I don't like as well is the file transfer funcationality. As far as security, I think you can make...

    Remotely Start a PCAnywhere Host

You're going to have to have some kind of "client" running on the other machine, machine B, inorder to control it. If pcAnywhere, its self" is your issue take a look at Damware or VNC. If it is ANY remote software then you have a little bit of a problem. If you want to get REALLY REALLY...

    Remotely Start a PCAnywhere Host

I want to be sure I understand what you want to do. It *sounds* like: You are at machine A and you want to turn on pcAnywhere on machine B remotely without having any remote access/control software installed and running on machine B? Jim

    Remotely Start a PCAnywhere Host

pcAnywhere will run as a servcie allowing it to start without any user intervention. The problem is that it doesn't set the service correctly to run automatically on its own. Go to Administrative Tools | Services. Scroll down to the pcAnywhere Host Service item and double click on it to open...

Newbie!! Veritas 9 Asking for more tapes

Having had similar problems I discovered that I had hardware compression turned on when the drive I had didn't support it. As soon as I switched to software compression (not hardware if availble, otherwise software) I got the compression I was expecting. Jim
