There is a registry edit specifically for disabling ftp caching (.../MSFTPSVC/Parameters/DisableMemoryCache). I had implemented on our test server and it solved the problem immediately.
Lookup the article "Access is denied when attempting to put files on FTP server" in Microsoft...
Hi all,
I am researching an apparently common problem with iis 4 and possibly other versions. The problem occurs when accessing files through the FTP service. After listing these files on the server they remain locked in the iis cache for a certain period and any efforts to delete them or...
Hi all,
I'm having a problem with a bat file created and executed from within Access97/2000. The bat file is using dos utilities and the path is passed dynamically to the function that creates the bat file using DatabaseObject.Name. The utilities are stored in the same directory as the...
I apologize,
I figured this type of utility was more widely used and easier to find. Here's a link to DLLShow shareware.

One option to troubleshoot without knowing much about VB3 this is to use a shareware utility such as 'DLLShow' to see the libraries and versions that your application uses. Use it on the base-lined computer and then compare this list to the one on the W98 system.
Hope this helps,

Thanks very much for your reply Michael. It seems that without knowing for sure the relationship between MSysImExSpecs and MSysImExColumns that the two tables should be recreated. I had assumed that since SpecId was a primary key in M..Specs and M..Columns contains this field as a primary key...

I'm working in an Access 97 DB that uses custom Import/Export Specifications defined in MSysImExSpecs. On quite a few of the databases I've noticed that the Spec_Id field in this table does not match the Spec_Id field within MSysImExColumns, yet import/export using this spec still...
Hi Cooleen, it's me again. Go to Microsoft's site and search for this document 'PRB: Working with Print Dialog and Printer Object under NT 4.0'. It identifies this problem for Windows 2000 and describes how to use a Windows API instead.
Hope this helps,
Warren
If the crystal reports ocx is used, it will deal with the same common dialog for printing so I don't think that will change anything. The only thing that I can suggest is to check to make sure the default properties aren't selected for the printer and to try putting...
I finally found what I was looking for. If anyone else has this problem with Crystal Reports and Access 2000 there is a zip file available from Seagate's site that replaces a few dll's. It is designed for version 7 but is supposed to be compatible with most versions. The file is...
Hi All,
I am in the process of converting a Client/Server app to DAO 3.6 for migration to Access 2000. In the process it's become clear that CR5 does not get along with DAO 3.6. I read a few articles on making 4.6 compatible with Access 2000 requiring new dll's from Microsoft's or Seagate's...
