    PIX routing to specific network

The DMZ machines with static NATs shouldn't have to go there, but any other DMZ traffic yes. S.R.

    PIX routing to specific network

Thanks for the info. I put those routes into the PIX and still can't get there. Unfortunately, I am unable to tracert for some reason, even after I add an explict 10.0.89.1 --> any IP rule. ~GOING INSANE!!!~ It looks to me now that I am not NATting on the ISP2 interface. S.R.

    PIX routing to specific network

I have two ISPs with two class c ip's connected to my 2800 router, and behind the router we have a PIX 515 v7. I'm trying to route all traffic out ISP1, except for traffic destined for (ex)72.14.207.0/24 and 72.14.208.0/24, which should go out ISP2. I have a static routes setup for...

    Moving the Database

So it automatically moves, the edb? It seems like it wants you to point to a new file, which is probably why I'm confused. If 2-3 hrs is all I'm looking at, then I'll go that route. Thanks for your help! S.R.

    Moving the Database

Were you successful in moving the database file? How did you go about it? I am very low on disk space and am going to install a new mirror set and would like to see some sort of results. Also, our database is about 19 GB. How long did it take to move your and how large is it? Thank you very...

    Exchange 2000 Std to Exchange 2003 Ent...Upgrade?

I had no problems going from Exchange Standard 2000 SP3 to Exchange 2003 SP1 Enterprise on Windows 2000 SP4. Went very smoothly. Here is a doc I used as a reference if you need one: http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Upgrade_Exchange_2000_to_2003.html S.R.

SMTP Connector, "allow messages to be relayed to these domains"

Thank you in advance for any input you may have. I have setup a SMTP connector on our SMTP only server, in order to forward any incoming mail to the "store" server. On the address space tab, there is a check box "allow messages to be relayed to these domains". I've read that I should not check...

Exchange 2003 Mail Server hostname in greeting

Thanks for the reply. I ran show fixup on our PIX and I do see "fixup protocol smtp 25". Is there anything else I should be checking for? I can post a running config if necessary. Thanks, If Google can't help, nothing can. S.R.

Exchange 2003 Mail Server hostname in greeting

I'm troubleshooting sporadic mail problems and after running on DNSReports.com I discovered that our exchange 2003 server gives an invalid hostname in the greeting, and telnet to the mail server has very odd behavior. Here is the Header in the greeting using an external source: 220...

    Exchange SMTP forwarding

Currently we have two physical sites, one in a DR facility in Philly, and our corporate headquarters in Yardley. Each of these sites has their own forest, domain and exchange 2003 server. The DR facility is for our production environment and for security reasons, there is currently no direct...

emails show up only when you click on a folder

Would you mind elaborating on the I.S. problem, since I'm having the same issues here? Thanks! If Google can't help, nothing can. S.R.

emails show up only when you click on a folder

I've had the issue here at two different companies. I first thought it was the VON software, but now at the new company, we don't have that and it does it too. The only thing that fixes it is an Outlook/Office reinstall and even that was hit or miss. If Google can't help, nothing can. S.R.

Life as I know it is over ... Exchange nightmare!

If whomever set up that Exchange 2k server did not listen to any reccomendations, and everything actually IS on the same partition, then you should be able to mount the priv.edb file in the 2k3 Recovery storage group and follow instruction from Microsoft's Exchange 2003 Disaster Recovery...

    Exchange 2000 Std to Exchange 2003 Ent...Upgrade?

I have been asked to upgrade our 2k AD domain with all 2k Servers running in mixed mode (not sure why) and 1 Exchange 2k server in Mixed Exchange mode (again, not sure why) to Exchange 2003. On our Exchange 2k box we run Symantec Mail Security for MS Exchange V 4.5 for spam filtering and virus...

Is it possible to block sending to one E-Mail address

In exchange you can block inbound but not outbound. Create the email address as a contact, then under the user's AD Exchange General --> Delivery Restrictions, just add the contact to the Accept from everyone except box and then hide the contact from the GAL. If Google can't help, nothing can...

    Exchange5.5 to 2003 migration

In my experience: 1. Nope. 2. No. take a look at MS's Exchange 2k3 requirements. http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/evaluation/sysreqs/2003.mspx#ECAA 3. That I didn't do, but I used the new version of ExMerge over a weekend and migrated all users to Exchange 2003. The new version gives you...

    slow boot

Glad I could help. But...I can't use someone elses script on a Production server (especially Exchange) unless I've tested it first. You may feel differently, which is absolutely fine, but I would manually stop each service in the MMC in the order they are stopped in the script. Also, some of...
