Can you set date and time from PC Pro for SV9100. I spent some time looking for it, but couldn't find it. I found some reference stating you can change it from a phone by dialing 728, but when I picked up a phone, and dialed it, I got fast-busy. I did set this system up like 10 years ago, that was the first I last time I dealt with an SV9100. Somehow I managed to figure everything about it at that time, but now, I have no idea how to do it.

Help needed

Try web browse to system and do it on webpro.

Connect to the system with PCPro and in the ribbon where Communications, Programming.. is there is a Time setting icon where you can set Time and Date. WebPro is better, though.

Thanks. As for webpro, when I try to log in, it complains that bad login attempts have exceeded (or something like that). I guess if I were to reboot the system, it would allow me to log in? It's a remote site for me, and I haven't been back there since I posted this question, so I haven't tried other suggestions yet.

There are too many Log In sessions active in WebPro. Some should Time Out in 15 minutes so wait a little bit and you should be able to log in. When you are able to log in, at the Home page, go to the Session Management icon and click on it. It will open a window where you can logout all sessions that aren't active any longer. As you probably know, if a WebPro session is active you can't access thesystem via PCPro.
It is very important to Logout of a session when you are done working. You can adjust the timer for a session to auto logout at 20-01-12.

Ok, I haven't made it to that site yet, but expecting to be going there this coming week. Meanwhile, I opened the SV9100 PC Pro on my computer and loaded the last saved config from that site.
I found the Time Setting option on the top ribbon of PC Pro. So when I get to the site, I should be able to use that.

The other task I'll need to accomplish is the replace a few defective phones. From what I recall ( and what I see now on PC Pro on my computer) is that in command 15-05-02, I can clear the old MAC address for an extension and enter the MAC of the replacement phone. And that should be pretty much it from the pbx side, right? And then plug in the phone and point it to the IP address of the phone system, at port 5080.

The better way to remove the settings for IP phones is to unplug the defective phones then go to 90-23, in WebPro, (you won't see this in PCPro) and delete each of the phones you've unplugged. This removes the IP address and MAC address of the old phone. You do not lose any extension programming like button assignments and such. Much easier this way.

Disagree. Much easier and cleaner to simply do what you did and change the MAC address to the new phone. This way you know what phone will be what extension. You should also NEVER put ext number on NEC SIP VOIP phones on the 9100. I can't tell you how many systems I have taken over where this was done.

And I disagree with your method. I have installed hundreds of NEC IP phones and the ONLY way to install them, for me, is to program the extension number in the phone. I have NEVER had an issue in doing it this way. Makes replacement of the IP phone a piece of cake, simply unplug the bad phone, delete in 90-23 and plug in the programmed new phone. If you have taken over a lot of systems where my method was used to install IP phones, then I would say maybe we are on to something!
