We are not using AD at this time nor have we ever implemented group policies. I would like to deploy SP2 in one shot and leave the workstation without the firewall or automatic updates.
Any other suggestions?

I have had to upgrade my workstation to WinXP SP2 since the 2/9 Microsoft security patches.
I can launch the SMS Console but when I click on anything (collections, advertisements, etc.) all that shows is an hour glass.
The firewall is off!
