I was only going to allow HTTP/S open for the static IP the phones will be provisioned from. I don't see any reason the phones will need to pull those files all the time and would be able to open those ports if I needed to roll out changes/upgrades. You see any problem with that?

I would like to setup an IPO so that J179's at users homes will connect to it over the Internet. In the past I've used VPN featureset on the older handsets but since the J179's running SIP don't do that I think my only option is to use TLS and connect directly. I've...
Anyone have any good/solid information on properly securing the IPO (500v2 on 11.x) to allow J179 SIP phones to connect over the Internet? I would like to use TLS and ensure that only phones with the cert can connect and try to log in but I can't find any good docs on the entire process from...

Thanks for the reply but the 4625 works fine with IP Office, I'm using one on a call right now which is connected to an IP500. The default 46XXVPNSETTING.TXT even has an entry for it, I just can't find the actual bin file it refers to.

Thanks for the answer. Already looked at those. As with most Avaya solutions, the 364x phones are more expensive and complex than should be necessary for getting a couple of users up on wireless handsets.
What I am really trying to find are Wireless SIP phones that work with the Avaya IP Office. I appreciate the technology advice but right now I'm just trying to find out if anyone has any suggestions on models they know work with the IP Office.
