Thanks for the comments Firebird. Interesting that you've seen this before.
I assume it was a communication blockage of some sort in either the router or the BCM. I rebooted each at least once with no success. I'm not sure why, but the Restore apparently joggled something enough that the BCM...
Reference getting the system up and running in this thread: thread1361-1817965
I've had a pair of 2002 sets at another building connected via an Ethernet bridge working for just about two years. Our UPS shut down a couple of days ago, shutting down the BCM50, router, and the near side Ethernet...
Update:
Not being able to get BEM 62.0.5 working on my Win10 computer really bugged me, so I spent another several hours tinkering this evening...
I had tried several iterations of install/uninstall/delete/copy 62.0.3 & 62.0.5.. with no success.
Finally took a closer look at the Win7 laptop...
Success (mostly!)
- couldn't connect to the BCM on the LAN, so I connected my old laptop (Win 7) to the OAM port to download BEM 62.0.3. After which I discovered that BEM 62.0.5 was already installed on the laptop;
- couldn't get 0.5 to install on my main (Win10) computer;
- had to install java...
Brian:
I'm not sure if the password it is looking for is registration or not, and I haven't been able yet today to get back to that point on the phone set. (just the 'server unreachable) loop)
Resources/Telephony Resources/IP Sets is greyed out, so I can't confirm what registration password may...
Thanks Brian.
If I am understanding the Keycode page in EM correctly, I have 32 IP Client seat ACTIVE.
If I go into setup on the phone (by pressing the Display buttons when NORTEL NETWORKS appears on power up), depending on the DHCP choices I enter, sometimes it will get to the point of needing...
I am trying to install an IP Phone 2002 (model NTDU91) to our BCM50 R6 in our small shop.
When I plug in the set, it does its startup, then "Waiting for Cfg Data"; and then ends up looping through "Server unreachable/Restarting..". The D-Link router does see the set & MAC address, and does...
It seems to be all working correctly again now.
The puzzling part is that we didn't really fix or change anything, other than replacing passwords that seem to have disappeared.
I just have to sort out getting another SSD installed and working, but that's another matter..
Thanks for all your...
It's been a while since I worked with this unit, so I just confirmed some of the info:
- if I enter the IP address (either the network or 10.10.11.1, depending on which one my computer is connected to) in a browser, I can get the Avaya "Welcome to BCM" webpage. But it needs a User ID and...
Thanks Firebird, it looks like I was still writing my post when you sent yours in..
I'm still running update 66, but followed your guide just to confirm that MD5 is not one of the disabled algorithms.
Thanks for the reply, Paul.
I changed from HDD to SSD for heat and reliability issues.
You did the patches for us back in 2016 at the same time as I changed the drive. I don't recall if the patches were applied before or after the hard drive swap.
When I try to connect via BEM, I get the...
The SSD in our BCM50 R6 appeared to have died, so I re-installed the original spindle drive and ordered another identical Corsair Force LS SSD. The issues I am having now:
- The BCM only partially works: 7316 sets don't work, only the 7316E sets, and SOME of the 7208 sets work;
- None of the...
...been busy with "work" for a couple of days...
I didn't get anywhere with the Java tinkering.
I found I had on another computer a copy from a few years ago of a BEM Install. That installed easily and is now working great!
Thanks for all the help and suggestions, Guys!
That just leaves me...
