Help! I'm freelancing, taken over an InDesign doc from someone and every time I type a certain phrase it formats it into bold. It's nothing to do with Paragraph or Character styles, and I can't change it into the font I want from the character menu.
What's going on? I've looked into nested...
Is there an option to make dotted lines like there is in InDesign? I know about dashed lines in the stroke palette but I'm looking for something similar to "Japanese Dots".
I am trying to set up a number of graphs all with the same y axis values. However, the graph data means that Illustrator makes the graphs different (see attachment for a better idea – one goes up to 60, one to 30, one to 80 etc).
Is there a way of pre-defining the y-axis values so that all the...
thank you all. i think i got the answer, which is basically i'm stuffed! but i've given the problem back to the client and it all worked out okay (i.e they got me to make the text amends).
if only they'd just asked me in the first place...
thanks again for the help.
I'm stuck – I have to get some files to someone who's only got Quark 4.1 or InDesign CS3, and my files only exist in Quark 6. Anything I can do to get them in a format the client can use?
Any help gratefully received.
For some reason the info palette has decided to stop showing ppi information and word count. It's completely blank.
I had this problem in CS2 and found a patch for it, but I've had a look on Adobe Forums and in the archive here but can't find anything useful.
Any advice gratefully received.
Help! Impending deadline looms...
How do you stop InDesign moving the whole cell of text over to the next page if it's too long to fit on the current page? IT's leaving me with horrible gaps everywhere.
Thank you!
Is it possible to use automatic page numbering to make 2 consecutive page numbers appear on one page?
For example, I want page numbers 2 and 3 to appear on my left hand page (as 2|3).
Hope thismakes sense, any help gratefully received.
The glyphs palette shows all the characters available for each font, so if the typeface was designed without that character, you'll have to do it manually.
Try going to the fly out menu and unchecking "allow pages to shuffle". With a bit of tweaking, you should get what you want.
And in response to your query, grafixenter, quite often artwork is set up like this for covers etc. and the printer does the difficult stuff of making it print correctly.
