Thanks Bob. Request say an ext number xxxx can receive incoming calls anytime of the day or night without any sort of restriction. However, to make any sort of outgoing call (example a cell phone number in WA, he has to enter a code 4325 to dial that number and that code to prevent any misuse)...

I have a specific requirement for MITEL's: (1) Restrict International calls which is obviously do able by chaing class of restrictions/service ? Am I right ? (2) Entering a code to make any sort of outgoing calls and no restriction on incoming calls. Can this be done ???

Statically assigned IP address to the device and its Now showing "DHCP discovery" for last 1 hour. But not getting an IP address. It's getting weird and weird

@wireman50: Mitel 5505 talks to Mitel Communications Director (MCD). @kwbMitel: I will be trying to statically assign the IP today, not sure if it has such an option. Weird part is if you plug a 5312,5212 it works just fine. It's just 5505 which isn't getting an IP.

Setup is as below Modem ---> Switch ---> Mitel Phone and It gets the IP from modem/switch at the site. Am quite sure DHCP is enabled on both modem and switch coz Internet for a PC works just fine !!! I wonder what is stopping it from getting an IP

Hello All, I configured the MITEL 5505 worked all fine. However, now when it is out at the customer site it shows an error saying "missing options 129" Not sure what's wrong with it ? please advise

It's working now (phew). Deleted the config on MCD, reset both the handsets. Re did the whole thing and works like a charm. Thnx every1 for helping me out with this one
