We had/have the same problem... another symptom is if you cable the machine, log on, log off, disconnect cable, activate wireless nic, then it will logon fine..... otherwise it can't find the domain. We thought we had it figured out with a Policy edit but now it is a problem at another site...

Another trick is to use "Angry IP scanner". You can scan the entire network and try the active addresses only, this saved my butt recently when an AP switched itself back to dhcp from static address. Found the device in the scan and reconfigured it.
